Zcapes has a Model and was on RWW and SmartMobs

Our startup Zcapes has a model, a 3d one. Tjek it out.

1. Live Web versus Archive

There is an increasing amount of Live data in the web. It’s about what are you doing now. Shorter and more posts giving you better feeling of what is going on now. The live web is a social web where it is all about the conversations.

2. Streams(no destination) versus Pages(publishing)

Traditional destination sites versus the new tools that give you access to the streams of the Live Web. We decided to become a destination site with streams insite. We believe that people want to go to places to get there needs fulfilled. Just see how we buy our clothes.. We go to physical or virtual worlds to compare and select the “products” that give us the value we seek. As mobile devices will become more and more a tool to help us fulfill the “everyday” needs and help us with our challenges in the ever changing context of our world.

3. Virtual versus The Physical Linked Web

We believe that mobile has a strong relation with the “physical” world(context). Context is much more complex than just location. It is about the products, events, locations and situations we are in. We try to give these “objects” a place in the web. A place that can be easily accessible when we know a bit about your context.

In conclusion Zcapes is a publishing platform with live content related to the “physical” world.

Also Zcapes is getting some traction:

Next up for Mobile: Better Identity Services

At least that’s what I said yesterday in the Financieel Dagblad. The business news paper of the Netherlands. Universal identity services on your mobile will determine who you are and help you get down to business. With banks, with stores, socially and between al these silo’s. OpenID for mobile will be an important step. It is key for the path towards Vendor Relationship Management.  Also I say that RFID chips will be a big impact. (Click to get a bigger view).
The did a whole page on mobile. Point of the article was that the device features are pretty much done now as most basics are getting covered: 3G, Camera, Speaker, GPS, etc. What people now want are good services. What application do you need on your phone? Instead op how many mega pixels the camera is. Good point. They used the ING Wegwijzer we did for ING as an example. Here is a scan of the whole page. Raimo’s talk at the MWG Congress

Last week I gave a presentation at the MWG Congress in The Netherlands. The topic of the event was Experimentation. Personally I don’t believe in experimentation. In this incredible dynamic market, where there is no status quo anymore, one needs to have clear intentions.. During my presentation I used the metaphor of trying to lift one’s leg.. I asked the audience to try to lift their left leg.. Everybody reacted by lifting there leg.. I explained that they raised there leg and did not TRY to raise their leg.

Trying is nothing. You either do or you don’t!

Below you see the presentation and an interview(in dutch) by Ronnie Overgoor touching the topics of the presentation.

RT: “SPRX, Zcapes and the passion for mobile”

A good e-mail interview was published at the Dutchcowboys weblog on Febuary 6 2009 by Henk de Hooge. This is the translation.

SPRX, Zcapes and the passion for mobile

Everybody knows them by now, Maarten Lens-FitzGerald, Raimo van der Klein and Claire Boonstra. They are the founders of MoMo Amsterdam, one of the most successful Mobile Mondays worldwide. And set up their company SPRXmobile in the streamline and recently initiated a new start-up Zcapes.

Enough reasons to ask some questions to one of the most passionate people I know, one of the first bloggers at Dutchcowboys, @dutchcowboy on Twitter and a lot more. But also someone who saw the other side of life when last year was diagnosed with cancer. An e-mail interview with Maarten Lens-FitzGerald.

What made you start MoMo?

SPRXmobile mentioned in Adformatie with QR-code Campaign

Adformatie is a magazine mostly for the old world of marketing and advertising on dead trees (coincidentally I built their first website in 1995). They did an Interview with the Voedingscentrum. An organization for ‘beter and healthy eating’ here in Holland.

We helped realize a QR-code campaign for them together with Breed Creative Communications. It was a cool campaign because the Voedingscentrum is the first semi-governmental organization which choose to use QR codes in the national campaign. Click on the image for the whole article.

Too bad they got my name wrong. Its Lens-FitzGerald, not Lens-FritzGerald.

Go scan and do the QR code thing to check out the campaign:

Quote Magazine Doesn’t Know What Contextual Services Are

SPRX was in the press. Raimo is in the Quote Magazine from January talking about Zcapes and Contextual Services. Unfortunately they didn’t understand Contextual Services.

We’d loved to have explained to them that Contextual Services are more then just Location Based Services. Your context can also be a virtual presence like a chat room where we are talking. We will have the same context (we are chating with each other) but have a different physical location. Zcapes is the first service that is Contextual.

This doesn’t mean we are unhappy. We are always glad when we are mentioned in the press.

Here is a scan, its in Dutch:
